Join Global Journeys Academy for a truly magnificent experience of Christmas festivities in the Holy Land. This holy holiday tour takes you through Christian religious sites in two notable locations – Jerusalem and Bethlehem.
You’ll journey with thousands of other pilgrims from across the world to pay homage to the birth of Christ. In Jerusalem you’ll visit the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in the Old City. You’ll then journey to Bethlehem early on Christmas Eve day to visit Manger Square, the Church of the Nativity, and witness Midnight Mass. It will be an unforgettable, sacred journey!

Overall Itinerary
Our journey begins in Tel Aviv, with a guided tour of the bustling streets of Old Jaffa and the beaches along the Mediterranean coast. Explore further at your leisure or relax on the beach. From Tel Aviv we’ll take several day trips: We’ll drive south through the Judean Desert to visit Masada, touring the ancient fortress, and then to the Dead Sea, where you’ll float in the healing waters. We’ll drive north to the Sea of Galilee, stopping at the Yardenit Baptismal site, the possible location of Jesus’ baptism. You’ll also tour the ancient site of Capernaum and ascend the Mount of Beatitudes for a spectacular view.
We head next to Jerusalem, for a two-day Christian-themed tour, with visits to the Church of the Ascention, the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Pater Noster, the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane and the Church of All Nations, the Old City and the Pools of Bethesda, and the Via Dolorosa. You’ll also have the option of visiting the Dome of the Rock (Islamic shrine) and the Western Wall (Jewish holy site).
We journey next to Bethlehem, stopping en route to visit the Shepherd’s Field. A guided tour of Bethlehem will start on December 23 exploring the Sanctuary of Bethlehem, the Milk Grotto, and the Church of St. Catherine. On December 24 we’ll join thousands of pilgrims to celebrate the birth of Christ! We’ll tour Manger Square, share a meal together in sacred communion, visit the Church of the Nativity, and watch Midnight Mass. This will be a truly sacred journey in the Holy Land!
