High School Students
Global Journeys Academy is a registered private school granting OSSD credits. Our Ontario Ministry of Education BSID# is 885651. Since 2001 we have been designing meaningful educational travel programs for students from all over Canada: we promote the highest academic standards, encourage intellectual growth, and nurture our students’ personal development.
Global Journeys Academy is committed to secondary education in Ontario and employs every effort to assist our students in achieving academic success. We accept students of high distinction into our Grades 10, 11, 12 courses and grant credit upon the successful completion of a course; that is, when students achieve a 50% or higher final grade and complete 110 hours of scheduled class time.
Our courses take place online and onsite (around the world!) during the months of July and August. Prior to departure students work synchronously with teachers using the online platform OneNote. Dates of online classes vary depending on the program. Full course descriptions and prerequisites can be found below.

Grade 12 Preparation
By their nature, as senior level, college / university preparation courses, Grade 12 courses are academically rigorous. All of our Grade 12 courses aim at preparing students for the demands of higher education.
Our teachers employ a variety of innovative approaches to teaching and learning which encourage students to develop critical and creative thinking skills, investigate a range of issues from diverse perspectives, and create and communicate new ideas with confidence.
These approaches promote the acquisition of knowledge, foster positive attitudes towards learning, and encourage students to become lifelong learners.
Further information about the academic quality of our Grade 12 courses can be obtained by contacting our Principal, Dr. Lisa Trentin.
